I've just found your site and the script for "Better than Martians". I have a sort of personal interest in the script, because I'm the person who found the original fossils of Yuwenia bentleyi (note that it is "Yuwenia", not "Yullenia" - Yu Wen is a chinese palaeontologist who was the inspiration for looking at the rocks where the beast was found). I knew nothing of the name or my photos being used in the show until it appeared here in Australia in 1994. I was testing a new VCR and taped the show on timer. When I saw what I had I was quite excited. Pity no one else was.

The beastie appeared in the show because the professor I worked for when I found it and who named it after me, later moved yo UCLA and was asked to give a name that could be used. Of course, he picked one his own...Such are the workings of academic fame.
